Retreat Anywhere

I see only now that it has been almost a year since my last post here. Wow, time really flies. This is another thing that I decided not to say too often: "oh my god, time flies!", or "this week just flew by, I didn't notice how Friday arrived", etc. Somehow, each time I say it, I feel like a) I state the obvious, but also b) it makes me feel a tiny little bit sad.
From time to time I ban words from my speech. Like a while ago, I decided I will never say to anyone I am busy. There is no point. 1) Everyone is busy and 2) if I say I am busy, it still says nothing about how am I doing or anything at all. Moment I wanted to say, "oh, life is so busy", I would replace it with something tangible and slightly more meaningful. I would come up with one event in my (busy) life that would pop up the most, but not negatively, because talking negative things I banned ages ago.
Okay, this was a very long introduction to my life updates.
Major life updates since the last post, let's go. First of all, last year in November we launched a business with my two dear friends called Retreat Anywhere. I will not use this opportunity to tell more about it, because people who know me or speak to me longer than 10 minutes, will definitely hear about Retreat Anywhere. Let's keep it at that, and for those who didn't spend time talking to me last 8 months, here is the website. Have a look! www.retreatanywhere.nl
Second major life update - I am back to a corporate job. Since May, I work again and I am doing something I did for years: business consultancy in laws and regulations. It may sound really boring but I genuinely enjoy it. I had to leave this sector, to come back and realize that it wasn't that bad, after all. I work with sustainability, and the office is 5 minutes biking from my house. I like to keep my work and creative life separate, so I will not say here where I started to work. Sorry!
With that said, now I need to choose my assignments wisely. Therefore, I stop giving healings and the booking section on this website is gone. I will be still guiding meditations and giving (random) healings via Retreat Anywhere and when I feel like it. If you come here to book a healing, contact me privately or visit Retreat Anywhere.
Private life updates: my daughter is turning 3 this month. I can talk for hours about her. Here I will keep it short. The way my life changed 3 years ago, when Gaia was born is immense. I am so proud of who I am today, and most of me - is what Gaia did by being born. Thank you, my everything.
To make this post somewhat useful and not to disappoint anyone who read until here (and got disappointed), things I did and read lately that I can recommend:
Women who run with the wolves, a book by Clarissa Pinkola Estes. As a child, I loved fairy tales. Since I could read, I read in Russian, and often I would notice there is a main idea of what the tale is teaching kids. Often I didn't like this "teaching" part. It lacked fairy-ness. Reading this book, I fell in love with tales once more. The deep hidden meaning of tales about the universal role of women, the feminine pain, inter-generational perpetuation of patriarchy and eternal longing for freedom - it was so healing to me.
Last weekend we had a retreat in Friesland, using Retreat Anywhere concept, meaning it's a DIY retreat and we did it ourselves. Weekend filled with feminine energy, meditation, yoga, campfire is all I could wish for. I am feeling so fresh and happy again. And most importantly, I felt inspired to post here after such a long time. New thing we had as a surprise activity: silent disco. Enjoyed some good dancing and: no sheep in Friesland was disturbed by loud music!
Since I am also a year older now, I like to talk about supplements and healthy lifestyle. Highlight of my last year and something that helped me survive the winter: ayurvedic herb Shatavari. It balances the hormones perfectly and makes life so much lighter. If you know you know. There is a version of Shatavari that is good for men and if you are interested in this one, ask me.
Thank you for reading this post and do not hesitate to send me a message by using a Contact section of this website.
